MU HIGH SCHOOL MATH CHALLENGERS REAP MAJOR AWARDS
The Misamis University High School Math Challengers reap the major awards during the recently concluded Division Oral Final sponsored by Metrobank MTAP- in coordination with the DepEd, Ozamiz City held on February 10 and 11, 2011, at Ozamiz City National High School, with the theme, Moving Forward through Excellence in Mathematics.
When asked what are the objectives of this activity, Mr. Retchie T. Candongo, the champion coach said, that aside from improving the quality of Mathematics education in the Division of Ozamiz City, it also aims to encourage students to strive for excellence, provide opportunities in leadership and cooperative undertaking and above all, develop the values of hard work, perseverance, honesty, teamwork and sportsmanship. These are the values to which the MU High School Department believes and stands for.
He also added that, getting the awards is only the icing of the journey… the really story lies in the commitment of the students to challenge themselves to achieve higher than they could think possible; for the coaches to strategize like Archimedes; for the parents who are wonderful partners to this endeavor and equally, the unwavering support of the administration. He then, happily announced the winners. They are:
