33Building Global Connections: Misamis University Officials Visit Kasetsart University
On July 31, 2026, the Faculty of Social Sciences, Kasetsart University of Thailand, welcomed Dr. Karen Belina F. De Leon, President of Misamis University, and Dr. Orlando D. De Leon, Vice President for Administration, for an official visit to strengthen academic ties and foster international collaboration between the two institutions.
The Misamis University delegation met with officials of the Faculty of Social Sciences, including Asst. Prof. Wg. Cdr. Dr. Ngamlamai Piolueang, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences; Asst. Prof. Dr. Korakit Choomgrant, Vice Dean for International Affairs and Educational Quality Development; and Dr. Thanapol Leangsuksant, Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, together with Sasiwan Kajornritdet, Thanita Chamnanhut, Aitsara Rittisakchonladet, and Pattaratorn Nakphairat, students from Kasetsart University who participated in the Misamis University International Exchange and Cultural Learning Program in 2025 and 2026. Discussions focused on expanding opportunities for student exchange programs, faculty and researcher mobility, collaborative research, and other academic initiatives that promote global engagement.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured the Faculty of Social Sciences' laboratories, library, classrooms, and computer laboratories, where they learned about the university's academic facilities and educational practices. The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of Kasetsart University and Misamis University to advancing academic excellence and building sustainable international partnerships.
