35Misamis University Recognized by CHEDRO X for Global Rankings
The University President of Misamis University, Dr. Karen Belina F. De Leon, received a Certificate of Merit from the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office X (CHEDRO X) in recognition of the University's dedication to the internationalization of Philippine higher education and its exemplary achievements in globally recognized rankings and ratings for 2026.
These include the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, in which Misamis University was ranked 601–800 globally, and the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026, in which the University was ranked 337th globally.
The award was presented during the Region X 59th ASEAN Month Celebration Culminating Activity on August 27, 2026, at the Tangub City People's Gymnasium, Tangub City, Misamis Occidental. Dr. De Leon received the award together with Dr. Lloyd B. Ranises, Director of Linkages and International Affairs.
This achievement is a testament to Misamis University's hard work and commitment to ensuring quality education for its students and aligning with global innovations and standards in higher education. It also reflects the University's positive impact on the community and its stakeholders, as well as its continued commitment to sustaining and enhancing the quality of its educational services.
