Misamis University Earns Global Recognition in WURI 2026 Rankings
Congratulations to Misamis University for achieving another remarkable global milestone as it secured multiple recognitions in the 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), further showcasing the university’s commitment to innovation, leadership, quality education, and transformative learning.
In the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026, Misamis University ranked 337th in the Global Top 500 Innovative Universities worldwide, among 1,920 higher education institutions globally.
Out of 24 categories in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026, Misamis University earned Top 100 recognition in 11 categories:
- Rank 5 in Empowerment-Based Management (B2)
- Rank 9 in Ethics and Integrity (A6)
- Rank 27 in Student Support and Engagement (A1)
- Rank 34 in University Brand and Reputation (B8)
- Rank 35 in Visionary Leadership (B1)

- Rank 59 in Interdisciplinary, Convergent, and Integrated Research (C2)

Among the university’s strongest performances, Misamis University ranked within the Top 10 globally in Empowerment-Based Management and Ethics and Integrity, highlighting its commitment to people-centered leadership, ethical governance, and transformative education. The rankings also reflect the university’s growing excellence in student engagement, research innovation, technology integration, institutional reputation, crisis management, and inclusive social development, strengthening its position as a globally competitive and innovation-driven institution.
This latest recognition builds upon Misamis University’s previous achievements in WURI 2025, where the university ranked 70th in Visionary Leadership and 88th in Student Mobility and Openness among 4,866 programs from 1,253 universities across 87 countries.
