Aligned with MU’s commitment to sustainability, the event advanced the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG?3: Good Health and Well-Being, by promoting artistic and physical expression that enhances confidence, creativity, and emotional wellbeing. The competition served as a celebration of youth talent, culture, and unity, reinforcing MU’s mission of shaping empowered, creative, and sustainability-driven learners who will help build a brighter and more sustainable future.

On August 14–15, 2025, the MU Basic Education Department (MU-BED) also showcased its athletic excellence at the OCAPSA Inter-Private Sports Competition in Ozamiz City. This annual event brings private schools together to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and holistic student development. MU-BED athletes from both elementary and secondary levels competed in Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Badminton, Chess, Lawn Tennis, and Table Tennis, demonstrating skill, discipline, and determination. Guided by MU’s PVMGO (Philosophy, Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives), the University emphasizes academic excellence, leadership, and values formation while fostering inclusivity and social responsibility.
