23Misamis University Involvement for UN SDGs: Enabling Adoptive Management
Misamis University actively initiates and participates in cross-sectoral dialogues on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through its bi-annual International Conference on Biodiversity and Climate Change, which in 2025 gathered 1,200 in-person and online participants from the academe, government agencies, and various sectors. The University also engages in both international and local conferences and forums related to other SDGs, strengthening its role in promoting sustainable development. Furthermore, Misamis University’s membership in organizations such as the Asia Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCORE), the Regional Research, Development, and Innovation Committee (RRDIC), the Northern Mindanao Consortium for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (NorMinCIEERD), and the Northern Mindanao Consortium for Health Research and Development (NorMinCoHRD), along with other local and international affiliations, facilitates robust collaboration and sustained participation in cross-sectoral dialogues centered on the SDGs.
