Misamis University Celebrates Another Victory at BIDA 2024, Showcasing Innovation in Business Education
Misamis University secured a prestigious spot once again at the 18th Business Idea and Development Awards (BIDA) 2024, held in Marikina City, Philippines, on October 2, 2024. The university continues to excel in the BIDA competition, having consistently won in two consecutive years. This impressive track record underscores the university's commitment to excellence in business education and innovation.
For this year's competition, the university received awards for three different teams: NUTRI-KAM, which secured 2nd Place in the Food Category, comprised of team members Jhaney Rose R. Buctuan and Jan Clarise B. Hiyan; ECOFIBER FURNITURE, which also achieved 2nd Place in the Non-Food Category, consisting of Kaye Abegael D. Valdoz and Christine Gel L. Bacus; and GREEN EMBER, which earned 3rd Place in the Non-Food Category, with team members Rubie V. Tagaytay and Jayney J. Viernes. These achievements highlight the impressive skills and creativity of Misamis University's BSBA students.
The success of these teams is a testament to the mentorship of Dr. Renzitelo Alf P. Carpio, along with the guidance of Dr. Gilda L. Ilusorio, the Program Head. Their efforts were further supported by Dr. Efren J. Barillo, Dean of the College of Business and Management, and President of Misamis University, Dr. Karen Belina F. De Leon, who consistently demonstrates unwavering support for all the college's endeavors. We sincerely acknowledge the dedication and hard work of all team members, as their innovative contributions have set a commendable standard of excellence.
BIDA 2024, organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, serves as a national platform for showcasing innovative business ideas from various colleges and universities nationwide, all vying for prestigious spots in the competition.
