Misamis University Engages in Another Cycle of Student and Faculty Mobility!

The College of Agriculture and Forestry is proud to announce that two of our third-year BS Agriculture students, Ms. Jhaine Elaica Agan and Mr. Christian Mark Estrada, have been invited by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Manila to participate in the Scientific Symposium of Filipino Scholars and Researchers in Germany. The event will take place at the University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City, from November 27 to 28, 2025, and is organized by the Embassy in cooperation with the Office of International Linkages, University of the Philippines Diliman.

This symposium aims to showcase Filipino-authored research on sustainable development conducted in collaboration with German higher education institutions. It will also highlight the personal, academic, and professional journeys of Filipino scholars and researchers with ties to Germany, emphasizing their contributions and experiences.

The two-day event will feature a series of meaningful activities, including scientific presentations, a World Café session, a networking reception, and an excursion to one of the projects supported by the German Embassy. More than 250 participants, including our two MU students, are expected to gather and engage in these enriching activities.

Accompanying our students is Mr. Gerald G. Aguilar, part-time instructor of the College of Agriculture and Forestry, who has been invited as one of the speakers for the scientific presentations and as a panelist for both the panel discussion and the World Café session.

The Scientific Symposium of Filipino Scholars and Researchers in Germany fosters collaboration and knowledge exchange within the scientific community and inspires and encourages our students to actively participate in scientific and research initiatives that contribute to sustainable development within the University, the community, and the country.
