MISAMIS UNIVERSITY SWEEPS MAJOR AWARDS AT PERANGAT OZAMIZ FESTIVAL 2026
Misamis University delivered an outstanding performance at the Perangat Ozamiz Festival 2026, emerging as the Champion in the Ritual Showdown held on July 16, 2026, at the Ozamiz City Hall Grounds in celebration of the 78th Charter Day of Ozamiz City.
The University also earned the Best in Street Dancing, Best in Costume, and Best in Musicality awards, showcasing the creativity, discipline, and exceptional talent of the Misamis University festival contingent. In addition, the University received The Philippine Festivals People's Choice Award, recognizing the overwhelming support and appreciation from the public.
Adding to the University's success, Arriane Zen S. Clarin was named 1st Runner-Up in the Perangat Ozamiz Festival Queen 2026, further highlighting the talent and excellence of the Misamis University delegation.
The University's participation was made possible through the collaboration of Barangay Aguada, Barangay Carangan, Barangay 50th District, and Barangay Molicay, whose partnership contributed to a performance that celebrated the rich culture and heritage of Ozamiz City.
Misamis University extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Misamis University Administration, led by University President Dr. Karen Belina F. De Leon, for its unwavering support and commitment to the University's participation in the festival. The University likewise expresses its sincere appreciation to the MU Perangat Ozamiz Festival 2026 Working Committee, headed by Chairman Jame S. Bazar, with Co-Chair Centhony Amil, under the guidance of Adviser Dr. Analyn S. Clarin, for their exceptional leadership, dedication, and countless hours of preparation.
