Misamis University holds Graduate Thesis Proposal Critiquing with International Reviewers
This program aims to enhance the conduct and analysis of qualitative research outputs through the insights and expertise to be shared by Dr. Wilhelmus Susilo of Universitas Persada Indonesia Y.A.I. and Dr. Thanapol Leangsuksant of Kasetsart University.
Eight presenters from the Master of Arts in Nursing and Master in Nursing programs will present their thesis proposals and receive feedback and evaluation from the international reviewers, as follows:
- Maria Kristina L. Rejoy – “Lived Experiences of First-Time Mothers with Postpartum Blues: A Phenomenological Study”
- Christy Mae Omlero-Enjambre – “Clinical Instructors’ Supervision of Large Groups of Nursing Students During Related Learning Experiences: A Phenomenological Study”
- Bienbert Jhun N. Edeña – “Lived Experiences of Indigenous Mothers in Accessing Maternal Healthcare Services in Rural Communities: A Phenomenological Inquiry”
- Marianne Thea O. Albiso – “Lived Experiences of First-Time Mothers in Newborn Care”
- Neil Vergel Soya – “Community Participation in the Department of Health (DOH) PuroKalusugan Program for Promoting Health and Wellness: A Case Study”
- Jon Kenneth B. Pepito – “Exploring the Lived Experiences of Students with Panic Attacks in Seeking Anxiety Relief Through Natural Environments”
- Neil Bryan Caliso – “Exploring the Experiences of Older Adult Students Re-entering Nursing Education: A Case Study”
- Michael Jaymar E. Fabruada – “Postpartum Experiences among Teenage Mothers during the First Six Months: A Phenomenological Study”
The thesis proposal presentation will be attended by students enrolled in Qualitative Research in Nursing during the Second Semester, SY 2025–2026. This program is highly relevant to their course as they explore analysis techniques and research practices from partner universities to further strengthen the conduct of their research. Most importantly, the critique and recommendations from the international reviewers may contribute to the improvement of the studies and support future co-authorship and co-publication opportunities in Scopus-indexed journals upon completion of the research.
