Misamis University and Universitas Sebelas Maret, Indonesia, Forge Partnership to Strengthen International Collaborations
Misamis University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) on January 16, 2025, marking another significant step toward fostering international collaborations. UNS, a distinguished higher education institution in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia, joins Misamis University in advancing opportunities for academic exchange, research, and publications.
Through this partnership, Misamis University aims to enhance student and faculty mobility by facilitating inbound and outbound exchanges between the two institutions. Collaborative efforts will focus on various academic disciplines, including social sciences, law, criminology, business, economics, accounting, medicine, education, agriculture, and engineering.
Additionally, the partnership seeks to strengthen research collaborations and joint publications between faculty members, fostering knowledge-sharing and academic excellence. Both universities will also work together in organizing joint conferences, lectures, and seminars that address emerging global trends and uphold international academic standards to benefit society and the environment.
By sharing resources and expertise, this collaboration aims to enhance the quality of education and equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the demands of their respective countries, the Philippines and Indonesia.
