Misamis University Holds Echo Seminar on Cross-Border Faculty Mobility at Kasetsart University, Thailand

Misamis University conducted an echo seminar titled “Knowledge Propagation on the First Misamis University Faculty Outbound Mobility 2024 at Kasetsart University, Thailand” on July 22, 2024 at the Function Hall.

The activity aimed to provide a platform for MU faculty participants of the cross-border mobility program at Kasetsart University (KU) in Bangkok, Thailand, held on June 11 and 13, 2024, to share the insights, experiences, and learnings they gained during their visit. The seminar also oriented participants on various modes of internationalization practiced at KU, encouraging them to apply similar approaches in their respective colleges. Additionally, the activity sought to inspire them to initiate and strengthen further internationalization efforts within the University.

April Farell Relacion – Cultural Immersion
Jonas Hingco – Collaborative Engagements with the Faculty of Science
Venus Velasco – Discussion on Sports Education (Volleyball)
Kasey Jane Buac – Visit to the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok
Dr. Nelpa Canini – Lectures with KU International Students
Hanzen Tomatao – Faculty Immersion and Tree-Planting Ceremony
Reflections and testimonies were shared by Atty. Anthony Awa, Joicelyn Bacus, and Maria Kristina Vicente.

The event was attended by deans, department heads, and selected faculty members from the eleven colleges of Misamis University.

Through this echo seminar, participants gained a clearer understanding of the activities, engagements, and learning experiences during the mobility program. The insights shared helped broaden their perspectives on cross-border mobility for both faculty and students. These learnings are expected to support colleges in enhancing their internationalization initiatives and strengthening MU’s institutional commitment to global engagement.
