Sinulog sa MU
“Viva! Pit Señor Santo Niño!” echoes across Misamis University on January 26, 2026, as the community welcomed the Santo Niño de Cebu at the MU Covered Court.
The celebration began with a solemn procession and continued as the community attended a Holy Mass. Students from different colleges performed a Sinulog presentation to offer to the Santo Niño.
During the homily, Rev. Fr. MJ Mark Julius Samonte emphasized the value of humility, reminding the community that as one grows in status and achievements, it is essential to uphold the teachings and values of Jesus Christ. He highlighted that embracing these lessons helps guide one’s life with a light heart, free from unnecessary burdens and worries.
Through this celebration, Misamis University reaffirms its commitment to forming individuals grounded in faith, values, and a sense of purpose as they navigate academic life and beyond.
