Misamis University Conducts Benchmarking Visit at Jose Rizal University to Strengthen Its Commitment to Meaningful Education
Misamis University conducted a benchmarking visit at Jose Rizal University (JRU) in Mandaluyong City on August 1, 2024 as part of its ongoing efforts to deliver meaningful, high- quality education and uphold excellence across all academic programs.
As a valued partner higher educational institution, JRU welcomed Misamis University to its Mandaluyong campus to facilitate benchmarking activities and in-depth dialogues on academic quality, program management, and institutional best practices. This partnership continues to foster cooperation between the two universities as they work together to promote innovation, strengthen academic standards, and advance shared goals toward meaningful and transformative education.
The benchmarking activities focused on the Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Engineering, and Information Technology programs, with participating deans and department heads exchanging insights on curriculum development, accreditation processes, research initiatives, and strategies for addressing evolving industry needs and societal challenges.
A key objective of the visit was to gather valuable information that would support Misamis University in its preparation for its Level IV accreditation under the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). The insights shared by JRU served as an important resource in enhancing MU’s readiness for this higher level of academic recognition.
A total of 26 MU administrators, deans, directors, and academic leaders joined the benchmarking visit. The participants included:
