Engr. Shayed M. Mamayog Honored as Top Engineer and Architect in the Middle East 2025
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - Engr. Shayed M. Mamayog was recently recognized as one of the Top Engineers and Architects in the Middle East 2025. The prestigious award was conferred on February 14, 2025, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in honor of his exceptional contributions to the engineering profession in both the Philippines and the international arena.
Engr. Mamayog graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in March 1989 from Misamis University, Engr. Mamayog has built career defined by technical excellence and leadership. He earned his Registered Mechanical Engineer License in 2000, followed by his Professional Mechanical Engineer License in 2010, becoming part of the pioneering batch of Professional Mechanical Engineers in the United Arab Emirates.
His leadership journey began as Past President of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) Abu Dhabi Chapter in 2010. In 2012, he played a pivotal role as Charter President of the PSME Oman Chapter, further expanding the reach of the organization. His advocacy for Filipino engineers continued when he was appointed National Vice President for the Middle East of PSME in 2023, representing and promoting the welfare of engineers across the region.
In 2015, he made history as the first Filipino actively involved in the ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE), further enhancing the global recognition of Filipino engineering expertise.
Currently, Engr. Mamayog serves as Senior Projects Manager at Majid Al Futtaim LLC in Dubai, where he oversees critical infrastructure projects that contribute significantly to the region’s development. Beyond his engineering feats, he also upholds cultural leadership as the Sultan of Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur, a role that reflects his commitment to both professional excellence and cultural heritage.
