Atty. Jeselle Ann R. Vega: From Numbers to Justice — A Misamis University Alumna’s Journey of Excellence in Accountancy and Law
OZAMIZ CITY - Misamis University takes pride in the outstanding achievements of one of its distinguished alumnae, Atty. Jeselle Ann R. Vega, CPA, JD, who continues to inspire both the academic and communities through her competence and service.
Atty. Vega completed her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2015 from the College of Business and Management, Misamis University. As an academic scholar and President’s Lister, she embodied the University’s commitment to excellence. The same year, she successfully passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Examination, marking the beginning of a promising career in accountancy.
Driven by her passion for the law, Atty. Vega pursued her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Cebu School of Law, where she graduated as Salutatorian in 2020. Her perseverance was further recognized when she passed the 2020-2021 Bar Examinations and was awarded by the Supreme Court of the Philippines for Exemplary Performance, a distinction reserved for examinees who demonstrated exceptional competence in the rigorous national examination.
Currently, Atty. Vega holds multiple roles in both the legal and academic fields. She serves as Senior Associate for Tax and Corporate Services at Moore Roxas Tabamo & Co. and practices law at Turingan Law Firm. Her expertise to educating future professionals is evident in her roles as Business Law Professor at the College of Business and Management, Tax and Corporate Law Professor at the Misamis University College of Law, and as a Part-time Professor at Christ the King College de Maranding. She was recently appointed as well as the Attorney of the Department of Education, Division of Ozamiz City.
Beyond her professional commitments, Atty. Vega actively contributes to professional organizations. She is the Auditor of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Misamis Occidental Chapter and currently serves as the Secretary of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants Ozamiz Chapter, demonstrating her continued service to both the legal and accountancy professions.
