EMB-X Regional Director Reynaldo S. Digamo Served as Keynote Speaker During the 45th PCAPI National Convention in Cagayan de Oro City
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines – Environmental Management Bureau Region X (EMB-X) Regional Director Reynaldo S. Digamo served as one of the keynote speakers at the 45th National Annual Convention and General Assembly of the Pollution Control Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PCAPI) held at Limketkai Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City on May 14-16, 2025.
With the theme "Moving Beyond Compliance: Reinforcing our Role in Keeping the Balance in Nature," the gathering brought together environmental professionals, pollution control officers (PCOs), and stakeholders from different sectors nationwide to engage in meaningful dialogue and capacity-building on pressing environmental concerns.
Regional Director Digamo, a licensed forester, currently leads EMB Region X with decades of experience in environmental management and forestry. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Forestry at Misamis University, Ozamiz City in 1983 before pursuing his Master’s in Management in Butuan City. His professional career began in 1985 as a forester at the Bureau of Forest Development Region 10. In 1998, he was appointed Chief Environmental Management Specialist at EMB Region 13 (CARAGA). He later served as OIC Regional Director of EMB Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) in 2016, before being assigned to EMB Region X in 2019, where he was eventually promoted to full-fledged Regional Director in 2021
Over the years, Director Digamo has been recognized for his leadership and service. He was a three-time nominee of the DENR Environmental Award for Governance and Leadership Excellence (EAGLE) in 2018, 2020, and 2021. He also extended resolute support and assistance to the programs and initiatives of Representative Rufus B. Rodriguez during his term in the 18th Congress. In 2022, he was honored with the Regional Development Council Excellence (Amihan) Award, receiving a Special Citation for the Government on Wheels, Online Application Assistance Caravan. Further cementing his reputation in the field, he was conferred the EAGLE Best Regional Director (EMB Category) for CY 2022 on February 1, 2024. Most recently, he was also conferred with Career Executive Service Eligibility (CESE) pursuant to Career Executive Service Board ResolutionNo. 1713 on November 16, 2023.
Through his professional career, Director Reynaldo S. Digamo continues to lead EMB-X in advancing sustainable environmental governance in Region X, reinforcing the bureau’s commitment to protecting nature while supporting responsible development.
