Dr. Arniel M. Elmedulan Jr. Elected as Regional Secretary of the United Tourism and Hospitality Professionals (UTHP) Northwestern Mindanao
OZAMIZ CITY, Philippines — Dr. Arniel M. Elmedulan Jr., Program Chair of the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and a 2013 alumnus of Misamis University, currently holds a leadership role in advancing academic and professional standards in the field of hospitality management, has been elected as Regional Secretary of the United Tourism and Hospitality Professionals Inc. (UTHP) – Northwestern Mindanao on February 12, 2026 through zoom for the term 2026–2028.
Dr. Elmedulan was selected by the Board of Directors of UTHP National, representing member Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and was subsequently elected to the Regional Council. His appointment places him among the key officers tasked with supporting the organization’s programs and coordinating initiatives across the region.
Currently serving as Program Chair of the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, Dr. Elmedulan is a Doctor of Philosophy graduate with specialization in tourism and hospitality- related research. He has been actively engaged in research production and publication initiatives within the university, contributing to academic development in his field.
As Regional Secretary, he is expected to facilitate communication among member institutions and assist in advancing professional programs aligned with UTHP’s objectives. He also continues to advocate for strengthened collaboration between the academe and industry to further enhance tourism and hospitality standards in Northwestern Mindanao.
