Mr. Joey Marie S. Revelo Secures 1st Runner-Up in the 2024 Regional Search for Most Outstanding Master Teacher
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY - Mr. Joey Marie S. Revelo, a Master Teacher II at Ozamiz City National High School, proudly represented Ozamiz City in the Regional Level Search for the Most Outstanding Master Teacher (Secondary) in Region 10. Competing against 14 divisions from across Northern Mindanao, Mr. Revelo achieved the First Runner-Up spot in this prestigious competition. Adding to his achievements, he was also regarded as Best Dressed (Male Category) during the awarding ceremony held on December 2, 2024, at Marco Hotel, Alwana Business Park, Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City. He graduated magna cum laude in 2010 with a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English at Misamis University.
In 2017, he completed his Master of Arts in Education major in English Language Teaching in the same institution. Currently, as a Master Teacher II employed at Ozamiz City National High School.
In 2019, Mr. Revelo was recognized as the Most Outstanding English Teacher (Regional Winner) in Northern Mindanao, acknowledging his expertise in advancing English education through innovative teaching methods and active engagement with students. That same year, he also received the Most Outstanding Campus Journalism Adviser (Regional Winner) award for his efforts in guiding students and elevating campus journalism programs.
In 2020, Mr. Revelo’s expertise in campus journalism earned him national recognition as the Outstanding Secondary School Publication Adviser of the Philippines during the National Schools Press Conference held in Tuguegarao City.
The same year, he achieved 1st Runner-Up in the Most Outstanding Public School Teacher Award (MOPSTA) at the regional level, which further highlighted his teaching excellence. During the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, he was recognized as the Outstanding Radio-Based Instruction Implementer (Junior High School Teacher Category), demonstrating his ability to adapt and deliver quality education through innovative methods.
