Guidance Services
INDIVIDUAL INVENTORY - A guidance service in which we compile information on the students’ previous school records, psychological test results, family & home background and medical records.
INFORMATION - This is a service that aims to provide all the necessary information needed by the students, faculty and parents. This is done by conducting interesting and informative seminars/orientation throughout the school year.
PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT - We conduct a variety of psychological testing and perform an assessment on the student’s cognitive and affective domains. The students are furnished with the results of the tests to facilitate a better and healthy understanding of themselves.
COUNSELING - A service where we assist students in coping with their present problems and help them prepare to face similar problems in the future. Counselors work with the students to help them see reality clearly and choose their paths wisely.
A. Peer Counseling - Friends, classmates, and peers are integral part of campus life. Sometimes one feels isolated and unable to reach out to teachers and other students. Our peer facilitators are available to assist and listen to your complaints and questions to bridge the teacher-student relationship.
B. Personal Guides - The Facilitation of an individual’s adjustment to college life is one of our goals. Students who become campus ambassadors serve as tour guides to visitors of the university.
REFERRAL - This service is the tapping of agencies, organizations or individuals that my be of better assistance in the counselee’s resolution of problems and attainment of full potential.
FOLLOW - UP - The guidance center provides assistance to students by making follow—up and coordinating with faculty and/or parents to monitor the student’s academic performance and college adjustment.
CONSULTATION - This is a service of mutual sharing of ideas and analysis of information with the administration or management, faculty, and parents. It is used to facilitate decision-making and utilizing strategies to help the students in their academic pursuits.
PLACEMENT AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT - This service ensures smooth programs of student’s movement to the appropriate educational or occupational level or program; entry into the appropriate co-curricular & extra-curricular activities; pursuit of further education and employment of graduates upon leaving the institution.
EVALUATION AND RESEARCH - This service is designed to determine how well the guidance services cater to the needs of the students and whether the program has been functional and effective. It is formulated to probe deeper into areas, which need greater concern and are relevant in improving the entire guidance program and the university as a whole
