NATIONAL AWARDS FOR MISAMIS UNIVERSITY
The Misamis University received the STET-VIP Gold Medal for the Adopt Estero Project as the BEST NSTP COMMUNITY PROJECT. NSTP Program Director, DR. VIRGILIO ONGANIZA received the award on May 1, 2013 at Scala Retreat House, Fortune Town, Bacolod City. The ESTERO project is Misamis University’s response to the rehabilitation needs of the polluted creeks in Ozamiz City.
JERSAM C. CALAGO from the Misamis University Community Extension Program (MUCEP) won FIRST PRIZE in the Making Communication Work Digital Photo Contest, a USAID Health Promotion and Communication Project. The award was presented on September 7, 2012 in Makati City by Ann Hirschey, Chief of the USAID Office of Health and Dr. Ivanhoe Escartin, NCHP Director of the Department of Health.
DR. JOEL T. ACLAO Dean, College of Education and MRS. ANALYN CLARIN, Grade School Principal received Gold and Platinum awards respectively for BEST ORAL PRESENTATION AWARD during the 3RD International Conference on Multi Disciplinary Research on Feb. 7-9, 2013 held in Bacolod City.
