MU Inducts CSC, Department Officers
The newly elected officers of the Misamis University Central Student Council (CSC) Board of Governors and the Department officers were formally inducted last Aug. 22, 2009 at Royal Garden Grand Ballroom, Ozamiz City. The program was opened through an invocation by Gov. Stemarie Joe J. Lasta of the High School Department while Pambansang Awit and Imno ng Pamantasan were led by Gov. Melody Mae V. Llanos of the College of Medical Technology. Gov. Japhet D. Alcontin of the College of Business and Management gave her Welcome Address followed by the introduction of the guest speaker by Gov. Jul-Amin A. Abdurakman of the College of Dentistry. Hon Loreto Leo S. Ocampos, Provincial Governor of Misamis Occidental then delivered his warm message as the guest speaker of the event. CSC officers gave an intermission number which was was followed by the Mass induction of Department officers led by Engr. Juanito N. Pepito, OIC, Office of the VP for Administration.
Dr. Karen Belina F. de Leon, University President, graced the night as she headed the induction and oath-taking of CSC officers. There was a turn-over of the key of responsibility from Anrom G. Abao, out-going CSC President to April Farell M. Relacion, in-coming CSC President. After receiving the key, Mr. Relacion delivered his inaugural message as the new CSC President of Misamis University.
The dinner followed after which CSC Officers, College Officers with their respective dean & advisers gathered for pictorials. The exciting competition of department presentations followed with the announcement of winners by the emcee Mr. Arthur P. Carbonilla. College of Education won first place, College of Dentistry, got the second place and College of Computer Studies, third place. Closing remarks was given by the Governor of the College of Education Joey Marie S. Revelo.
